Not against anyone, declares Cong in-charge Thakre

Making it clear that his duty is to do what the high command directs, Telangana Congress affairs in-charge Manikrao Thakre said that he is not against anyone and advised Telangana Congress leaders to keep such thoughts aside.

Addressing the TPCC’s extended executive committee meeting on Saturday at the Gandhi Bhavan, Thakre said that Rahul Gandhi has been conducting his Bharat Jodo Yatra braving even the severe winter. Every Congress activist has the responsibility to take the objectives of the Bharat Jodo Yatra to every house, he said, giving a call to party activists to participate in the ‘Hath se Hath Jodo Yatra’ as a single man.

Thakre said that TPCC President Revanth Reddy will cover at least 50 constituencies. The remaining seniors have to conduct the yatra in 20 to 30 constituencies, he said.

He said that leaders have to ensure the success of the Yatra keeping elections in mind.

“It is certain that the Congress will come to power in Telangana if our leaders are united. Tell me if there are any problems. Call me if you want to tell me your problems and I will be available. Do not speak to the media in a manner that it will harm the party,” he said.
