‘I am not in the race’

The Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, said that he is not in the race for the Telangana State BJP President post. He said the party had entrusted a huge responsibility to him and that he has been trying to do it effectively.
Addressing the media on Sunday at Karimnagar, Sanjay said that there is speculation that he will be handed over the reins of the party in TG. He said that some people are spreading such lies to harm the party.
Sanjay said the high command has not yet decided on the TG party President. The nominee for the post will be announced only after a collective decision is taken. Everyone should abide by the decision of the high command, he said.
“I would like to appeal to the media that it should cooperate in this,” he said.
However, BJP WhatsApp groups in rural areas are claiming that ‘Sanjay Anna’ is coming back. It may be recalled that Sanjay was the Telangana BJP President from March 11, 2020, to July 4, 2023
