In a fiery address to party workers and Telangana activists in Bhadrachalam, BRS MLC Kavitha reaffirmed her allegiance to K. Chandrasekhar Rao and vowed to act as a bridge between him and party cadres.
Describing herself as “a bridge between both KCR and the party,” Kavitha said, “Any issue, any need, workers can reach out to me. I consider it my responsibility to protect every single worker of the BRS. I am the bridge between karyakartas and KCR.”
Launching a scathing attack on the Congress government, she warned that it was the ‘primary threat’ to Telangana’s development. “The Congress will not protect Telangana. That is the responsibility of BRS workers. The government today is full of lies and betrayal. They appear like Telangana leaders, but their actions are entirely anti-Telangana,” she said.
Referring to the Congress government’s handling of debt and social welfare schemes, Kavitha said, “They took loans of around Rs 1.6 lakh crore, but when asked where the money went they refuse to answer. They mortgaged land worth Rs 40,000 crore for Rs 10,000 crore and now claim they spent that on Rythu Bharosa and farm loan waivers. But 60 per cent of farmers have not got loan waivers, and 50 per cent haven’t got Rythu Bharosa. So, where did that Rs 10,000 crore go?
