Debutante Shivani Nagaram, who is all set to make her debut with Ambajipeta Marriage Band, speaks to the Hyderabadi media, sharing her feelings for the debut, some insights about her character, and more.
As the leading lady in Ambajipeta Marriage Band, Shivani Nagaram is making her Telugu film debut with Suhas. The picture, which is directed by Dushyant Katikineni and is slated to open in theaters on February 2, is a collaboration between GA2 Pictures, filmmaker Venkatesh Maha under the auspices of Mahayana Motion Pictures, and Dheeraj Mogileni Entertainment. In a recent interview, Shivani revealed details about the film and her journey.
Shivani expressed happiness and nervousness! She says at the outset, “I consider myself lucky to be presented with a strong crew and under a large banner.” She highlights the responsibility that comes with being a part of a major motion picture and excitedly awaits the audience’s reaction. “My hometown is Hyderabad. For this movie, I traveled to a new town for the first time. Every shot was completed with joy. We spent seventy-five days in the Amalapuram, Ambajipeta region. We relished the lovely weather and laid-back vibe of the area. There, too, a great deal of love is shown. I speak Telugu most of the time, and there aren’t many conversations using slang,” added the recently turned actress.
She was given the chance to be in this movie by means of an audition. She went to the audition and got the part, albeit she was originally hoping for the friend’s part. She studied every dialogue in order to be ready for even the most emotional parts. Even though she is a real Kuchipudi dancer, she wasn’t given the chance to show off her dancing abilities in this movie, revealed the leading lady. But, “Lakshmi is the name of my character. Doing certain moments that required feeling was difficult. However, I spent a month getting ready before we began filming, understood every conversation. The scenarios had to have been executed flawlessly. Because of this preparation, acting on the set was not difficult.”
Suhas won a national award for the film Color Photo. Shivani found it a pleasure to work with him and very comfortable. When she saw Suhas acting like this, she used to behave better according to what the actress has told the media. Suhas has given her a lot of support considering it’s her first film, said Shivani expressing gratitude to her fellow actor. The actress actually had some very strong beliefs to state too, “Telugu girls are very brilliant. They should all be given favorable possibilities. Those initiatives ought to be fruitful. Telugu girls won’t be acknowledged in our Tollywood until then. Because I am fluent in the language, I can say a dialogue that is presented to me in the set right away. It takes time to comprehend and act if you are an actor in a different language. The filming can be completed swiftly if the actresses are Telugu girls. Each character in the Ambajipeta Marriage Band tale has been given meaningful attention by director Dushyanth.”
Writing-wise, this film features strong characters for each person. Each and every character is exquisite. Although the actress doesn’t have any scenes in combination with Sharanya. There’s only so much she can say about this tale! It must be seen in the actual film. Additionally, “I want to work on being the mainstream heroines, but also characters who are important to the plot and have an opportunity to showcase their acting prowess. It’s acceptable if their roles are pivotal and come and go throughout the narrative.” Recalling her fondest memories from the promotional tour — she said, “We performed a Ambajipet Marriage Band advertising tour throughout AP. We visited Rajahmundry, Eluru, Vizag, and Vijayawada. It is impossible to forget the love that the locals displayed. We received a ton of love. There was pressure to cut the trailer nicely after seeing how people responded to our movie’s teaser. The reaction to the trailer was likewise positive. The affection the audience showed me at the trailer launch was overwhelming. I’m hoping the Lakshmi role I performed in the movie will become well-known.”
To sum up, “After this movie’s release, I wanted to sign my new project. Though various offers have been made, no other movie has been approved as of yet. Actors like Savitri, Sridevi, Kamal Haasan, Rajinikanth, Allu Arjun, Nani, and Suhas are among my favorites.”
