As the release date for Shivam Bhaje draws near, producer Maheshwar Reddy shared exclusive insights into the film’s journey and his broader vision for the industry. Directed by Apsar and featuring Ashwin Babu and Digangana Suryavanshi in lead roles, the film promises a captivating blend of romance, action and drama. Shivam Bhaje, which has now hit the theatres, has already created considerable buzz with its engaging trailer.  In a recent conversation with us, Maheshwar Reddy offered a glimpse into his creative process and future plans.
Recalling his initial reaction to the film’s story, he shared, “I was immediately drawn to Shivam Bhaje when I first heard the plot. I was so impressed that I committed to it on the spot. After discussing it with Ashwin, he too was quick to embrace the project. His enthusiasm was infectious and we quickly moved forward with the production.”
When asked about the film’s genre and plot, Reddy revealed, “The story of Shivam Bhaje is intricate and layered, blending elements from multiple genres. It’s not confined to a single genre; instead, it weaves together various genres in a way that will appeal to a diverse audience. The film contains numerous twists, but I’m keeping those under wraps for now. As a devotee of Lord Shiva, I can assure you that the narrative is compelling and thoughtfully crafted.”
Discussing the decision to release the film now, Reddy said, “We felt this was the ideal time for Shivam Bhaje. From a distribution perspective, this date was strategically chosen to maximise its reach. Looking ahead, we have several big projects in the pipeline and I have invested more in this film’s budget to ensure top-notch quality and content.”
Music plays a crucial role in Shivam Bhaje, with the film’s music director also starring as the hero. Reddy shared, “After witnessing his work in Hidimb, we knew we had to bring him on board. The music and background score he has created for Shivam Bhaje are exceptional. We shot the film primarily around Hyderabad, which adds an authentic touch to the story that unfolds entirely in this setting.”
Reddy also mentioned the positive reception of the film’s trailer by industry veteran Victory Venkatesh. “Venkatesh appreciated the trailer, which was encouraging for us. While we haven’t shown the full film to anyone yet, the positive feedback from someone with his stature is very gratifying.”
Addressing the broader industry perspective, Reddy remarked, “A film’s success largely depends on its content. Regardless of ticket prices, if the film is good, audiences will flock to see it. Positive word of mouth is essential for generating interest and drawing viewers.”
Looking ahead, Reddy shared his future plans, “We’re planning a project with the IIT Krishnamurthy team and are considering a film with Kartikeya, pending the perfect script. If Shivam Bhaje performs well, we’ll consider a Tamil remake and have already sold the Hindi dubbing rights. A sequel is also on the cards if the film is a hit.”
Maheshwar Reddy’s enthusiasm and strategic vision highlight his commitment to delivering high-quality entertainment. With Shivam Bhaje poised for its grand release, audiences can look forward to a film that promises to engage and entertain across multiple fronts.
