Harish meets Gajendra on irrigation projects

Telangana Minister Harish Rao met Union Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh and Harish said that increasing the size of the Polavaram Canal is unfair to our State.
He said that a Krishna Tribunal should be set up under Section 3 of the AP Reorganisation Act and promised to set up a tribunal if the case is withdrawn.
He sought permission for the Sammakka Sarakka Seethamma project. Permission should also be given to the Palamuru project, he said.
“We have requested that a second tribunal should be set up and a decision to allow Telangana use 50 per cent of the Krishna waters till the final verdict. GST compensation due to the state is Rs 700 crore it should be released,” he said.
He also said that they will oppose bringing GST under the ‘PMLA’ Act.
