Be it Kiara Advani, Kushi Kapoor, Radhika Apte, or even Bhumi Pednekar, you name them, and she has styled them.

We are talking about none other than one of the most popular faces in fashion, designer Tamanna Punjabi Kapoor, who is known for her eccentric work and her clothes.
Her name is a brand—well, literally. Many celebrities have worn and dazzled in Label Tamanna Punjabi Kapoor.

If we may recall, a mustard-yellow halter-neck kurta paired with an off-white Gharara donned by Kiara Advani during the promotions of Shershaah took the internet by storm, and that outfit was designed by this charming fashionista, Tamanna, who is now back with her latest collection, Inara, especially for the summer brides.

Well, not just in summer; the outfits are designed with such beauty and vibrancy that you can almost wear them in any season.

Embodying the effervescent essence of a sun-soaked season, Inara, which literally means ray of light, draws inspiration from the beauty and vibrancy of summer, encapsulating the joyous spirit of the season.

We, at The Pioneer, had a chance to converse with the designer exclusively about her 20-year journey in the fashion world, her latest collection, and more.

Beginning with crediting her 20 years of an amazing journey, Tamanna shared, “It’s been a long and amazing journey. It’s been almost 20 years, and I’ve become the brand, and the brand has become me—almost a part of my existence! I love what I do, and I wouldn’t do it any differently. Yes, I have definitely made the right choice because I completely enjoy what I do. Seeing the happiness on the bride’s face makes me extremely happy and makes me realise I have made the right choice.”

“Honestly Fashionable!” Is the title that the designer wants to give to her label, if at all she needs to give one.

“I’ve always been more sincere in my approach to fashion than serious, and all this time has been nothing short of pure joy. My relationship with fashion began at a very early age, and that, for me, is always going to be serendipitous and one of the most gratifying choices I’ve made in life. Designing is my way of life, and my label reflects this dictum by endorsing individuality through and through,” said the celebrity stylist, who celebrates every moment in her journey as she creates, and we guess these little joys are what make her label a much-celebrated brand.

We asked her how she manages to run her brand successfully even after 20 years in this cutthroat, competitive industry, and she gracefully replied, “My creations embody timeless elegance and a classic old-world charm. My signature style focuses on intricate embroidery carefully crafted on easy, versatile cuts that transcend fleeting trends. I believe in the power of individuality and encourage customers to wear what makes them feel most beautiful rather than solely following current trends. By choosing my label, customers can expect to embrace their unique style and express their personal beauty confidently.”

As we mentioned earlier about one of Kiara’s looks, even for Tamanna, it is hands down Kiara in the polka dot saree with the beaded bohemian blouse that made the cut.

The designer, who loves to romanticise her garments, asserted that the catsuit is the bravest fashion trend we will see this year. “Other than that, I feel bright red and its other shades and versions are going to be quite the hit. More and more inclusion of fine craft and details shows a huge potential to grab both creators’ and patrons’ attention,” she added.

Lastly, taking us through her latest collection, Inara, she shared, “Inara is our summer bridal collection. Inara, meaning ray of light, draws inspiration from the beauty and vibrancy of summer, encapsulating the joyous spirit of the season.

The collection features a dreamy colour palette of light, summery hues that exude freshness and radiance, evoking a sense of tranquility and bliss. From delicate pastels to vibrant shades, every colour combination has been thoughtfully selected to complement various skin tones and personal styles. At the heart of Inara lies intricate and meticulous traditional work, paying homage to timeless craftsmanship.

Our skilled artisans have painstakingly embellished the garments with exquisite embroidery, delicate handwork, and ornate details that showcase their expertise and passion. To elevate your celebratory moments, we have designed silhouettes that manifest elegance and grace. The flowy georgette and ethereal tulle fabrics create a sense of movement and lightness, allowing you to effortlessly glide through any occasion.”

If you are looking for a unique and eccentric bridal look, now you know whom to choose.
