Minister for Housing and Information & Public Relations, K. Parthasarathy, laid the foundation stone for several development projects in the Nuzvid constituency on Monday.
The Minister announced the construction of a cement road in Yanamandala village at a cost of Rs 15 lakh, another cement road in Madalavarigudem costing Rs 21 lakh, and a road in Sunkollu at a cost of Rs 7.50 lakh.
Addressing the gathering, the Minister emphasised that the coalition government had increased the social security pension from Rs 3,000 to Rs 4,000, benefiting over 64 lakh recipients, with pensions disbursed on the first of every month.
“The social security pensions are delivered to more than 64 lakh beneficiaries by 1.30 lakh secretariat employees. Anna Canteens have reopened across the state to provide quality food at just ?5 for the underprivileged,” he stated. The Minister also announced that free gas cylinders and complimentary bus travel for women will be implemented from Deepavali, and a District Selection Committee (DSC) would be convened soon to fill teaching posts.
The I&PR Minister affirmed his commitment to the development of the Nuzvid constituency, promising that there would be no shortage of drinking water in the area.
