Prime Minister Narendra Modi seems to be paving the way for Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s ‘Desh Ki Neta’ image. The PM has referred to KCR twice in the last 12 days. Until recently Modi never used to take the name of KCR but used to just say the “state government” or “parivarvaadi parties.”

On June 27, Modi first referred to KCR by name in Madhya Pradesh. In an attack on parivarvaadi parties, Modi said that if you want to ensure the well-being of KCR’s daughter, vote for the BRS.

Again on July 8, the PM referred to the KCR government as a corrupt government. This has given mileage as a national leader to KCR which otherwise used to be done only by BRS cadres. BRS cadres cheered when Modi spoke about KCR in MP and they said that the BJP is rattled. Interestingly, now the tables have turned and KCR has stopped naming Modi.

Prime Minister Modi levelled serious allegations against KCR on Telangana soil. Usually, KCR would call a press conference to answer but this time he did not enter the arena to counter Modi.

But BRS leaders immediately responded to Modi’s criticism. Everyone from Harish Rao to Jagdish Reddy gave counters.

They tried to create an impression that the war between the BJP and the BRS has started again. But as KCR did not respond that did not take effect.KCR announced that he would hold daily press meetings when he decided to take on the BJP. Now even after getting a chance KCR is not reacting. Instead KCR came to Telangana Bhavan to cover the heads of leaders who came from Maharashtra to join his party with pink scarves.

Interestingly, not just KCR even the Congress is silent about the BJP in Telangana. Sources said that replying to the BJP in Telangana is giving them mileage in the state. They said that the BJP is in the doldrums in Telangana and there is no point in the CM talking about the BJP or Modi.
