Representatives from Israel have shown interest in establishing an international-level garden centre in Amaravati, the capital city of Andhra Pradesh. A meeting in this regard was held on Monday at the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) office in Vijayawada, chaired by APCRDA Chairperson and Managing Director D Lakshmi Parthasarathi.
Delegates from Green Tech Limited, Israel, showcased their expertise in setting up world-class garden centres in Israel and Arab nations. Through a visual presentation, they highlighted the variety of flora that can be cultivated based on climatic conditions, including fruits, flowers, and vegetables, along with advanced horticultural techniques.
As part of their proposal, the representatives displayed samples of vegetables grown in their nurseries and products developed using innovative gardening methods. They expressed keen interest in setting up the centre in Amaravati, a city emerging as a global destination.
The meeting was attended by Dr David Mizrahi, Prashant, and Kishore from Green Tech Limited, along with APCRDA officials, including V Dharmaja, Head of Horticulture, and P Suresh Babu and KV Ganesh Babu, who head Urban Planning and Infrastructure Planning & Design.
