‘It’s embarassing to do intimate scenes with the crew present’

Many people have expressed interest in Zee5’s Bahishkarana. Anjali portrayed the lead in this Mukesh Prajapathi-directed period social drama series.
The success meet was held in Hyderabad and Anjali stated during the event that she is looking forward to taking on more daring and intense parts in her career going forward.
“I don’t want to do the same characters anymore. With my OTT productions, I’ve learned how to play dark roles, which has given me a sense of accomplishment as an actress,” Anjali says.
Anjali further said that it is challenging to do intimate scenes with both; be they be a hero or a character actor. “Such scenes are filmed with dozens of crew members, most of whom are men. So, no matter which character I play, the person I am remains the same. It’s usually difficult and embarrassing to handle such situations.” Anjali also prefers to avoid kissing scenes.
She also says that playing bold parts in Bahishkarana was eye-opening and the situations affected her personally. However, now that she understands how to perform dark roles, she is eager to do more. Ravindra Vijay and Sritej had major parts in this six-episode series.
