Dazzling bright as a diamond with her prowess at a pretty young age, the social media sensation and actress Avneet Kaur enjoys a great fan following of over 32.2 million followers on social media. Well, one might recall the l’il Avneet cutting a rug on the stage of Dance India Dance L’il Masters and going on to recall her as the choti Rajkumari Damyanti in Savitri—Ek Prem Kahani.
Today, the talented star has proficiently made a remarkable mark in the filmy world, be it her debut with Mardaani or her upcoming project Luv Ki Arrange Marriage, which is going to premiere on Zee 5 on June 14.
As the film is nearing its release, we have the star of the show on board for a quick exclusive chat, sharing some interesting anecdotes.
“I think the responsibility factor is something I completely relate to,” shares the Tiku Weds Sheru star as she speaks of finding similarities between her characters, Ishika and Avneet in real life. “I’ve always been so responsible at home. I’ve always been the sort of kid who takes responsibility for her parents.”
In the film, Avneet plays the love interest of ‘Titu’ boy Sunny Singh, who plays Luv. On that point, when asked about their on-screen chemistry, the Meri Maa actress says, “It was nice from the start; he was very sweet and comfortable as a co-actor. He never made me feel uncomfortable. He has always been the type of person who has taught me a lot of things on set. Every woman wants a male co-actor who is loving and encouraging.”
Going ahead, she also shares a memorable moment with her co-star, as she recalls, “I think it was at the beginning of the shoot, during a scene we filmed in Orchha, when our feet were burning from the heat because it was 40 degrees. That was memorable because, despite the conditions, he made me laugh. We didn’t even realise when the shoot was over. It gets very difficult for the whole crew to work in that heat, but I remember it was a romantic song shoot—the song that is out now, Ishq Ki Chhav Tale. He made me feel very comfortable and helped me forget about working in such a hot and humid climate.”
The film also stars Annu Kapoor, who plays the character of Luv’s father and Supriya Pathak as Ishika’s mother. Working with both the adroit actors was no less than an amazing experience for Avneet. “It has been amazing in so many ways. Supriya ma’am has taught me grace, to be effortless, and many other things that I, as a lady, can use in my future. Annu sir, on the other hand, taught me how to be happy on set, keep everybody entertained, and never show any attitude or ego. He was like a father figure to me on the set and made everyone feel at home. We all used to sit together for our meals; it felt like family. Talking about Bhopal, it was really good cuisine-wise, and the overall experience of shooting there and bonding with the cast was great. We used to try different food items together. It was fun.”
Luv Ki Arrange Marriage is not your regular rom-com film, at least with what the trailer showcases. There is certainly a twist involving the characters of Annu Kapoor and Supriya Pathak. However, without revealing much detail, on a concluding note, she shares, “I am not going to disclose anything. All I can say is that you should watch the trailer for now and prepare for fun-filled entertainment content. There are so many complications, confusion, and humour in the movie that you will thoroughly enjoy it.”
