Minister for Energy G Jagadish Reddy flagged off a vegetarian food rally at Jammigadda here on Sunday. The rally was held under the joint aegis of the local Pyramid Spiritual Societies’ Movement and Pyramid Spiritual Society, Hyderabad.
Later, he took part in the rally along with hundreds of the vegetarians. He praised the services being rendered by the Pyramid Spiritual Society under the leadership of Brahmarshi Patriji.
He dwelt on the benefits of vegetarian food. The vegetarian food would increase longevity as it is full of nutrients, fibre and anti-oxidants, vitamins and minerals. Moreover, it boosts the people’s immunity. The fat content in vegetarian food is very less. Those who want to watch their weight should stay vegan, he advised.
Rajya Sabha member Badugula Lingaiah Yadav, Municipal Chairperson P Annapurna, Zilla grandhalaya Samstha chairman Nimmala Srinivas Goud and others took part in the rally.
