Jagadish vows to fight against ‘demolition raj’

Must read

Former minister and BRS MLA G Jagadish Reddy on Saturday fired salvo at the Congress government, accusing it of creating chaos in the name of reclaiming water bodies in and around Hyderabad. The government, he said, has unleashed chaos using Hyderabad Disaster Response and Assets Protection Agency (HYDRAA).
Speaking to the media here, Jagadish Reddy said, “The Congress government is acting with political vendetta and wreaking havoc. The actions by the government has robbe the people of their peace of mind. Instead of fulfilling their promises, they are hatching conspiracies to suppress potential public uprisings,” Jagadish Reddy stated.
He emphasised that the government must not only conserve water resources but also ensure the welfare of the residents living in these areas. “People are residing in these locations with permissions granted by various government departments, and now the government is conducting surveys on Full Tank Level (FTL) and buffer zones, threatening demolitions. They are creating unnecessary fears even in areas around Tank Bund,” he added.
He estimated that the ongoing actions could result in losses worth Rs1,000 crores in Suryapet alone. He vowed to stand with the poor, opposing the government’s oppressive measures, even if it cost lives.
“If the government is at fault, why should the people be punished? We will take legal action against these meaningless government projects. Immediate scientific decisions must be made regarding FTL and buffer zones of the lakes,” he declared.
