Jagan, a symbol of lies and deceit: Atchannaidu

Agriculture Minister K Atchannaidu has accused former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy of spreading malicious propaganda, despite the government’s swift response to the Atchutapuram SEZ accident, where they supported the victims in every possible way. The Minister remarked that Jagan Mohan Reddy has become synonymous with lies and deceit, adding that the people will not forgive him for politicising the compensation for the victims.
Minister Atchannaidu criticised Jagan Mohan Reddy for announcing plans to stage a dharna, despite the government’s ongoing efforts to provide compensation and assistance to those affected by the pharma incident. He highlighted the swift action taken by the government, with ambulances and medical teams arriving at the scene within minutes. He also noted that Jagan’s attitude remained unchanged even after the public had expressed their dissatisfaction in the recent elections, where his party was reduced to just 11 seats. Atchannaidu accused Jagan of plotting political conspiracies by creating misconceptions among the public.
Furthermore, the Minister denounced Jagan’s false claims that the YSRCP government had supported all victims of the LG Polymers accident in Visakhapatnam by providing compensation. He pointed out that the compensation announced by Jagan Mohan Reddy during that incident was never fully delivered. Atchannaidu recalled that a compensation of Rs 1 lakh was promised for the three deceased within 15 days of the accident. He also criticised the previous Jagan-led government for filing cases against 30 people at Gopalapatnam station who had protested in support of the victims. The Minister added that incidents during the YSRCP regime, where patients were transported to hospitals on two-wheelers, had become a source of controversy.
