Prominent political figures and their families took part in the electoral process across various constituencies of the State on Monday, as voting commenced at 7 am. Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, accompanied by his wife YS Bharati and their children, exercised their franchise in Pulivendula. Similarly, opposition leader Chandrababu Naidu, along with his wife Bhuvaneswari, son Nara Lokesh, and daughter-in-law Brahmini, cast their votes in Undavalli. JSP chief Pawan Kalyan participated in the voting process at Mangalagiri, while YSRCP general secretary Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy did the same at Mangalagiri. Notable ministers, political figures, and public personalities also fulfilled their civic duty by voting at various polling stations throughout the state.
It’s worth noting that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s daughters, YS Harsha Reddy and YS Varsha Reddy, drew attention as they cast their votes for the first time alongside their parents in Pulivendula. Flying in from London, Harsha and Varsha added to the excitement surrounding the polling process. Accompanied by their parents, the daughters arrived at the polling booth amidst tight security, casting their votes after CM Jagan and his wife Bharati.
In a separate incident, Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan arrived at a polling booth in the Mangalagiri constituency accompanied by his wife, Konidala Anna (formerly known as Anna Lezhneva). However, this action raised concerns as it violated election regulations, as did the presence of a large entourage accompanying Kalyan. The influx of supporters turned the voting event into a photo opportunity, causing inconvenience to other voters awaiting their turn. Some individuals raised objections regarding Kalyan’s wife’s entry into the booth, as she was not a registered voter at that particular location.
