V Vijayasai Reddy, national general secretary of the YSRCP and a member of the Rajya Sabha, has lauded the government of Jagan Mohan Reddy for achieving a historic milestone in the creation of government jobs. Comparing the current administration’s achievements to those prior to 2019, he highlighted that the number of government employees has surged. Before 2019, there were 3.97 lakh government employees, and since Jagan Mohan Reddy’s government took office, an impressive 2,06,368 individuals have secured government positions.
On Tuesday, Reddy credited the government with the regularisation of 53,000 RTC (Road Transport Corporation) employees within the State. This significant move signifies a commitment to improving employment prospects and welfare for workers.
Reddy also raised concerns about the silence of two out of the three MPs from the Telugu Desam Party during the Lokesh Yuvagalam Padayatra. He alleged that the TDP was concealing the fact that party cadres were allegedly required to pay Rs 1000 per day to participate in the Padayatra. Additionally, he claimed that Chandrababu’s party struggled to find MLA candidates for 50 assembly constituencies.
Highlighting a noteworthy trend, Vijayasai Reddy mentioned a substantial increase in the number of income taxpayers in Andhra Pradesh, primarily driven by rising incomes among lower and middle-class families. He pointed out that the number of income taxpayers in the state surged to 18 lakhs between 2020-23, which reflects positive economic growth. Reports indicate that Andhra Pradesh has outpaced all other states in the country regarding this growth in income taxpayers.
Furthermore, MP Vijayasai Reddy called upon the central government to take immediate action to secure the release of innocent Indians currently incarcerated in foreign countries. He emphasized the need for the central government to assess the scale of this issue by determining how many Indians are imprisoned abroad and in which countries. Reddy expressed his concern for the welfare of these individuals, including their access to legal assistance.
He commended the Central government’s recent efforts in repatriating 17 innocent Indians from a Libyan jail, shedding light on their unfortunate situation, resulting from fraudulent activities by certain travel agencies.
