Telugu cine director Dileep Raja said that the shooting of Babuji cinema, a Biopic of former Deputy Prime Minister Babu Jagjivan Ram is going on at Pedaravuru near Tenali in Guntur district and currently shooting a scene in Chandwa village in Bihar, the native village of Jagjivan Ram in a set at Pedaravuru on Saturday. He said that the second schedule is currently being shot and it will take four months to shoot the other two schedules.
Dilip Raja said that since Chandwa village in Bihar is the native village of Jagjivan Ram, the set of Chandwa village was created without electricity, roads and concrete buildings. Babuji held various positions in the Parliament for the longest time in the world very effectively, he said and added that the historical moments of Babuji, who was jailed for two terms during the independence movement, were depicted with the most technical values in the movie.
Director Dilip Raja said that senior film actress Talluri Rameshwari is playing the role of Meira Kumar in the film, Jagjivan Ram’s role is being played by Military Prasad, an ex-serviceman of the Indian Army. He revealed that the Jagjivan Ram movie will be released in all Indian languages after completion of shooting, editing and other technical works.
Dileep Raja said that in this film, the roles of Gandhiji, Subhash Chandra Bose, Bhagat Singh, Jawahar Lal Nehru, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Babu Rajendra Prasad, Indira Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri are very important in their respective backgrounds. He explained that Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam language actors have been selected for the roles.
