Japan emerges as a major market for Telugu films

Japan, along with China, is emerging as a major market for Telugu films. Many Telugu films have been released in these countries, and filmmakers are now looking at Japan as a potential revenue center.
In line with this trend, Jr. NTR’s film Devara is set to release in Japan on March 28. The actor is scheduled to visit Japan on March 22 to promote the film, and before his visit, he is giving interviews to Japanese media. Directed by Koratala Siva, Devara has been a super success in Telugu, grossing significant revenue. This is the first part of the film, with a second part also in the works.
Jr. NTR is focusing on promoting the film aggressively in Japan, where he has a massive fan following. His earlier film Baadshah was released in Japan in 2014 and received a positive response. Jr. NTR aims to build on this fan base and strengthen his presence in the Japanese market.
Devara released last year and Jr. NTR plays dual roles in it. Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor, the daughter of the late Sridevi, plays the female lead.
