JEE aspirants miss exam, blame Dy CM’s convoy

Must read

A political row has erupted in Andhra Pradesh after around 30 students reportedly missed the JEE Advanced exam on Monday morning, allegedly due to a traffic block caused by Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan’s convoy near the Pendurthi ION Digital exam centre in Visakhapatnam.
The students claimed they were delayed by police controlling traffic for the Minister’s convoy and reached the gate just minutes after the 8:30 AM closure. Despite pleas, they were denied entry and could not sit the paper. The affected candidates have appealed to Pawan Kalyan to intervene and request authorities to allow a re-exam, stating that the delay was beyond their control.
However, Vizag police have refuted the allegations, stating the convoy passed the area only at 8:41 AM, well after the gate closed. They clarified that per exam rules, candidates had to report by 7:00 AM. Police also noted that 61 students were marked absent in the first shift, the lowest absentee count since the exam began on April 2.
