Congress MLC T. Jeevan Reddy is interested in contesting to the Lok Sabha from Nizamabad. It is learnt that Jeevan expressed his willingness regarding this to his well wishers in a freewheeling manner. He said that he was confident of winning the
Nizamabad Lok Sabha seat in the forthcoming LS polls.
Jeevan is not interested in taking up the responsibilities of the TPCC president due to his
age. He said he would resign his MLC post if he wins the LS polls. If not, Jeevan will continue as an MLC till 2025.
The AICC appointed Jeevan Reddy as the coordinator of the Nizamabad Lok Sabha constituency. However, Jeevan was defeated in the Assembly election in Jagtial by BRS candidate Dr M.Sanjay Kumar. He would have become a Minister if he had won. Now, Jeevan is not expecting a Minister post, it is learnt. He is interested in entering the Lok Sabha and representing Telangana.
The BJP’s Dharmapuri Arvind is the sitting MP of Nizamabad. Interestingly, Arvind too lost in the recent Assembly elections to Dr Kalvakuntla Sanjay in Korutla. Both Jeevan Reddy and Arvind lost in the Assembly election to doctors and both of them are Sanjays. Now, Jeevan wants to test his luck in the Lok Sabha elections facing Arvind who is the son of his old friend Dharmapuri Srinivas aka DS.
