Governor of Andhra Pradesh S Abdul Nazeer was chief guest at the Jharkhand State Formation Day celebrations held in Durbar Hall in Raj Bhavan here on Friday, under the ‘Ek Bharat Shreshth Bharat’ programme.
Speaking on the occasion, Abdul Nazeer has said that Jharkhand is a popular destination of travel and adventure because of its unique topography and the natural landscape, lush forests, waterfalls, and the State is a leading producer of mineral wealth in the country. The Governor said that the ‘Ek Bharat Shresth Bharat’ programme aims to forge a strong relationship and bonding among all the people of the country, and promote mutual understanding between different States and Union Territories, through the concept of oneness.
The programme commenced with a video message of Santosh Kumar Gangwar, Governor of Jharkhand, followed by Jharkhand traditional folk dance performed by students of Icon public school, Vijayawada. Students from Jharkhand studying in educational institutions in and around Vijayawada attended the programme. Dr M Hari Jawaharlal, Secretary to Governor, officers and staff members of Raj Bhavan were also present.
