Jharkhand Guv CP Radhakrishnan to take oath as TG Guv today

The Jharkhand Governor, CP Radhakrishnan, will now discharge the functions of the Governor of Telangana and the Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry. This is in addition to his own duties until regular arrangements are made.

President Droupadi Murmu accepted the resignation of Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan as the Governor of Telangana and as the Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry.
CP Radhakrishnan will take charge as Governor at 11:51 am on Wednesday at the Raj Bhavan.
Chief Justice Alok Aradhe will swear in the new Governor.
Jharkhand Governor CP Radhakrishnan thanked President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Modi on Tuesday for giving him additional responsibility to serve as the Governor of Telangana and as the Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry.
“I am humbled to be given the additional responsibility as the Governor of Telangana and as the Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry. I thank from the bottom of my heart our beloved President Droupadi Murmu Ji, our beloved Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji and our respected Home Minister Amit Shah Ji for giving me this additional responsibility. Jai Hind,” Radhakrishnan posted on X.
Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan is likely to contest the Lok Sabha elections as a BJP candidate from Chennai South, Tamil Nadu BJP sources said.
Dr Tamilisai is a former President of the BJP’s Tamil Nadu unit, and she is believed to have a good connection with party cadres and RSS workers.
She is the daughter of senior Congress leader Kumari Ananthan, a former MP.
Dr Tamilisai’s uncle, the late H. Vasanthakumar, was a Congress MP from Kaniyakumari.
