Jogi Ramesh finds fault with PK’s letter to PM Refutes JSP chief’s charges of corruption in housing project

Must read

Minister Jogi Ramesh addressed concerns raised by Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan in a recent letter to Prime Minister Modi, where Kalyan alleged corruption in land procurement for housing projects across the State.
Jogi Ramesh, expressing his dissatisfaction, questioned the basis of Pawan Kalyan’s claims and emphasised the need for evidence to substantiate such serious accusations. During the discussion, Minister Ramesh presented detailed information regarding house sites and ongoing construction projects, accusing the Opposition of hindering the distribution of plots to 30.65 lakh beneficiaries and impeding the construction process.
The Minister asserted his willingness to engage in a thorough discussion to debunk the allegations raised by Pawan Kalyan. He invited Kalyan to witness the ongoing development around Kakinada, highlighting the progress with over 17,000 Jagananna colonies and the rapid construction of houses in villages across the state.
Criticising Pawan Kalyan’s approach, Jogi Ramesh deemed it inappropriate to write directly to the Prime Minister, alleging a scam without concrete evidence.
He assured that a comprehensive response with detailed information addressing the 13 issues raised by Pawan Kalyan through the media would be sent to PM Modi. Minister Ramesh emphasised the transparency of the transactions, stating that all payments were executed online, leaving no room for corruption.
In a direct response to Pawan Kalyan’s questions about his residence in Andhra Pradesh, possession of an Aadhaar card, or even a registered address, the Minister criticised Pawan Kalyan for supporting Chandrababu, a person he deemed unworthy of endorsement. Minister Ramesh highlighted the unprecedented development and welfare initiatives undertaken in the four years and eight months since Jagan Mohan Reddy assumed office as Chief Minister.
The Minister noted that under Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy’s leadership, the dreams of 30.65 lakh poor women beneficiaries had been realized, with 21.75 lakh housing projects already initiated. He clarified that no funds were directly provided for construction, and all transactions were conducted through online payments.
Dismissing Pawan Kalyan’s allegations as false and baseless, Minister Ramesh urged him to focus on issues such as Chandrababu’s Skill Development scam, suggesting that these warranted greater attention. He concluded by highlighting Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy’s significant contribution of Rs 2.50 lakh crore to the people through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) initiatives.
