Jana Sena party Political Affairs Committee chairman Nadendla Manohar alleged that irregularities were taking place in land allocations for industries.
Addressing a press conference on Wednesday, he said that irregularities had taken place in the allocation of 2,680 acres to the Krishnapatnam Ultra Mega power project. The 350 acres of land given to the Apparel Park was being used for other purposes.
The YSRCP claimed that it had brought a new industrial policy to encourage establishment of industries, but quid pro quo deals had taken place in the land allocations for the establishment of industry, Nadendla Manohar lashed out.
Manohar questioned what happened to the Global Summit Investors Meet Rs 13 lakh crore worth MoUs for the establishment of industries in the state. The government is allocating lands to its loyalists, setting aside the norms and guidelines, he flayed. Investments worth lakhs of crores had gone to other states since there is no clear and standard industrial policy in the state, he criticised.
