The Jana Sena Party (JSP) will hold a discussion on ‘SC/ST Sub-Plan-YSRCP government’s apathy’ at its State office in Mangalagiri on January 25.
A release from the JSP office here on Thursday said party chief K Pawan Kalyan, Political Affairs Committee Chairman Nadendla Manohar, and other party leaders would take part in the discussion.
Jana Sena Party State general secretary Pedapudi Vijay Kumar and party leader and retired IAS officer D Varaprasad will lead the discussion on the sub-plan for the overall development of SC/STs had been made as an Act during the period of United Andhra Pradesh and it became a role model to other states in the country.
On the occasion, they will explain how constructive steps must be taken in the State to achieve the main objective of the Sub-Plan Act and what the YSRCP government is doing, and what the policy of the Jana Sena Party is on the implementation of the SC/ST Sub-Plan.
The objective of the Act is to extend a helping hand to the progress of the SCs and STs by providing funds to the government departments based on their population. The YSRCP government is negligent in implementing the SC/ST Sub-plan. The Sub-plan funds have been diverted to other schemes. The SC/ST Sub-Plan Act is about to conclude its 10 years of tenure by January 23.
The intellectuals who are authoritative over SC/ST Sub-Plan and issues related to their progress will participate in the discussion and share their experiences and observations.
