Agrigold Customers & Agents Welfare Association (AGC & AWA) honorary president Muppalla Nageswara Rao, general secretary V Tirupati Rao, and other leaders met Crime Investigation Department (CID) Director General (DG) Dr A Ravi Shankar Ayyannar at his office on Thursday and submitted a representation seeking justice for the Agrigold victims. Also, they demanded a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) under the supervision of an efficient officer to protect the Agrigold assets in the State.
In this connection, the AGC & AWA representatives explained their association’s efforts so far to provide justice to all victims who are cheated by the Agrigold Company. The previous government failed to do justice to the victims. As a result, many families have been suffering from financial issues for many years. They also spoke about the encroachment of the company assets and requested CID Chief Ravi Shankar to protect them.
The association’s honorary president Muppalla Nageswara Rao said that the CID should take steps to constitute a Special Purpose Vehicle to protect the Agrigold Company’s assets in the State. Also, the department should take responsibility for issuing the necessary orders to all police officials and revenue officials to protect the assets, he said.
Further, Muppalla Nageswara Rao requested the CID Chief that the Agrigold case should be changed to a special trial court. Also, the CID should take over the assets from Agrigold company directors and pay compensations to the kin of victims, he added.
Subsequently, the State government should support the Agrigold victim families for their children’s education, marriages and health issues financially. He asked Ravi Shankar Ayyannar to take these issues to the notice of the State government.
