TPCC President Revanth Reddy said that the Kaleshwaram Project is a white elephant. Revanth Reddy said that the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) had mentioned in its report that no matter how much is spent it will not be enough.

He challenged Ministers T. Harish Rao and KT Ramarao to a debate with Congress leaders on the CAG report on the Kaleshwaram Project. Addressing the media at his residence on Monday, Revanth said that KCR redesigned the Congress government’s Pranahitha–Chevella project and named it as the Kaleshwaram Project.

He said the Kaleshwaram Project has been swallowing Telangana’s resources instead of increasing the area under irrigation after its redesign.
Revanth said that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s assets increased massively after the formation of Telangana. He asked BRS leaders whether they are ready for a debate on KCR’s assets before June 2, 2014, and July 2, 2023.

The TPCC President said that the BRS government made a psycho attempt to derail the ‘Telangana Jana Garjana’ public meeting held at Khammam on Sunday. He said that the BRS statement that former AICC president Rahul Gandhi is not worthy to tour Telangana exposes its foolishness.

“The Nehru family laid down lives for the nation. The Nehru family is not like your corrupt family. Rahul did not accept any party post even though Congress was in power for 10 years. The Nehru family gave up the Prime Minister’s post for the sake of the nation. Is anyone other than Rahul worthy to tour Telangana? In fact, BRS leaders are not worthy enough to talk about Rahul,” Revanth said.

Coining a new slogan ‘Bye, Bye, BJP+BRS,’ he said that one is ‘Pittala Dora,’ and the second is ‘Twitter Pitta’ and the other is ‘serving liquor.’

He said the Congress is the party that introduced the MGNREGA scheme, the RTI Act and food security schemes and brought IT companies, the ORR, RGI Airport and Pharma companies to Hyderabad.
