YSRCP MLA and former minister Kurasala Kannababu demanded Telugu Desam party chief and former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu to respond on issuing notice by the Income Tax department.

Addressing a press conference here on Sunday, Kannababu asked the TDP whether they could issue a notice to the national media for publishing a news item stating notice was issued to Chandrababu Naidu.

“Naidu was caught red-handed by the IT. That is why a notice was issued to him regarding kickbacks in the construction of structures in the capital city. Naidu prevents investigations by approaching courts. Naidu received kickbacks through shell companies,” Kannababu slammed.

The ex-minister said that the TDP approaches courts for even minor issues and asked why the TDP was silent on issuing notice to Naidu. “Capital city Amaravati was constructed only for kickbacks. Naidu wanted to construct a capital of corruption. People will not trust Naidu’s surety and guarantee,” Kannababu said, ridiculing Naidu’s assurance of free gas cylinders if voted to power.

Kannababu lashed out at Naidu for ruining the APSRTC, stating that the Jagan Reddy government merged the RTC with the government in a bid to save the organization from bankruptcy.
