Kannappa teaser unveiled at Cannes, to release for audience on June 13

Telugu actor Vishnu Manchu made waves at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival by unveiling the teaser of his much-anticipated film Kannappa. Amidst the glitz and glamour of the French Riviera, Manchu shared his excitement as he revealed that the teaser would be available to audiences worldwide on June 13. The announcement came following the teaser’s positive reception from attendees, international distributors, and other industry insiders present at the event.
Taking to social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Manchu expressed his joy at the overwhelming response to the teaser. He also revealed plans for an exclusive screening of the teaser for a select audience later this month in Hyderabad, further building anticipation for the film’s release.
He wrote on his X handle on Tuesday: “We showcased the teaser of Kannappa here in Cannes, and it received an overwhelmingly positive response! International distributors, local Indians, and everyone who saw it absolutely loved it. I am excited and have butterflies in my stomach after witnessing such fantastic reactions. For our audience in India, the teaser will be released worldwide on June 13. On May 30, I will be showcasing the Telugu version of the teaser in Hyderabad at a popular theater. This special screening is for a select audience who have been encouraging Kannappa throughout my journey and have been sending constant messages of support on Instagram and Twitter. My team will be reaching out to these special invitees. I can’t wait to share the world of Kannappa with you all.”
Manchu’s Cannes appearance was nothing short of spectacular, as he graced the red carpet alongside his wife, Viranica, and his father, veteran actor-producer M Mohan Babu, as well as actor-choreographer Prabhu Deva. Their presence added to the allure of the festival, setting the stage for the grand unveiling of Kannappa.
Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh and penned by Vishnu Manchu himself, Kannappa boasts an impressive ensemble cast including Prabhas, Mohanlal, Akshay Kumar, and others. Produced by Paruchuri Gopala Krishna, Eswar Reddy, G Nageswara Reddy, Tota Prasad, and M Mohan Babu, the film promises to be a cinematic spectacle, with more details set to be revealed in the coming days.
