As revealed by Vishnu, each update from Kannappa is trending on social media. Particularly, Prabhas’ update trended on top on Twitter for nearly 18 hours. He also disclosed that Prabhas picked another character after listening to the story, rather than what he was offered. Vishnu was also content with the decision, and the team made a few changes to the character, keeping the stardom of Prabhas in mind. The actor requested movie buffs stop assuming about the characters of all the actors, as they are planning back-to-back updates.
