Kavita seeks police permission for protest

MLC Kalwakuntla Kavita has appealed to the DGP Ravi Gupta for permission to organise a protest programme by Bharata Jagruti on March 8 against the injustice being done to women due to government order 3 in implementing quota for women in government recruitment.
In a statement on Wednesday, she alleged that the police are yet to give her permission to stage the protest.
Speaking to the DGP over phone, she was understood to have made it clear to the DGP that the issue was very important. There was every need to highlight the injustice being done to women because of the GO No.3 through the protest programme, she said assuring the DGP that the activists of Bharat Jagruti would stage a peaceful protest.
