Kavitha warns Congress, BJP on quota for BCs4

In a fiery address at the BC Roundtable meeting held in Kamareddy, BRS MLC Kavitha cautioned both the Congress and the BJP that if 42 per cent reservations are not provided to Backward Classes (BCs) as promised, their leaders will not be allowed to enter villages.
Addressing the gathering Kavitha declared, “We are giving this declaration right here from Kamareddy. If the Congress and the BJP fail to implement 42 percent reservations, we will block their leaders from entering villages.”
She also warned the Congress against trying to evade responsibility. “If necessary, we will even go to Delhi and fight against the BJP. But the Congress cannot escape from its commitment,” she asserted.
Taking a direct dig at the Congress, Kavitha pointed out that even after making a BC Declaration in Nizamabad, the party did not give a single MLA party ticket to a BC candidate in the district during elections.
She said the Congress betrayed BCs by giving them false promises and misleading people.

“History remembers those who keep their word, not those who deceive. If the Congress fails to provide 42 per cent reservations, it will go down as a party of cheats,” Kavitha said.

Asking what happened to the BC Bills passed by the Telangana Legislature, she said, “After passing the BC Bills, they were quietly handed over to ‘Chote Bhai’ and ‘Bade Bhai’. Whether you go to the courts or fall at Modi’s feet in New Delhi, we don’t care. You must implement 42 per cent reservations.”

Referring to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s earlier statement promising to take an all-party delegation to New Delhi on the BC issue, Kavitha asked, “Despite frequently visiting New Delhi, why hasn’t the Chief Minister secured an appointment with the Prime Minister? Why is it that when it comes to BC issues, neither the CM nor the PM have time?”
