‘KCR, all 38 BRS MLAs fit to be disqualified like Indira Gandhi’

KCR and all 38 MLAs of the BRS are eligible for disqualification for misusing government machinery during elections, Mahbubnagar Congress MLA Yennam Srinivas Reddy said.
“Indira Gandhi used official machinery and official car for campaigning. Even a stenographer was also used. So the Allahabad High Court disqualified her in 1975. Now it is clear that task force vehicles were used for campaigning and that police officers gave money to BRS candidates as indicated by the phone tapping case. So all BRS MLAs including KCR, KTR and Harish, all the 39 are eligible for disqualification for misusing government machinery for campaigning,” he said.
“Phones are tapped to monitor terrorists. But tapping the phones of opposition leaders is unprecedented. Phone tapping was done from Pragati Bhavan. The tapping was done as per the orders of the Chief Minister by officials working under the BRS government. Without the knowledge of the DGP, a special team was formed and tapping was done,” Yennam said
He said KTR sent us legal notices which shows that he has no legal and administrative knowledge.
“There were reports in the media that war rooms were set up and phones tapped in various parts of Telangana. Based on media reports, I complained to the DGP and requested him to order an inquiry as I suspected that my phone has been tapped,” he said.
“It is understood that the administration was run by KCR sitting in his farmhouse and guest house. So far some officials have been suspended. They try to threaten us by sending legal notices. The remanded police officers said that money was transported in Task Force vehicles. We have to send you legal notices for saying that Revanth covered Delhi with Rs 2,500 crore,” he said.
“If a BJP MLA goes to give a card for a good cause they spread lies regarding that. Your family conspires against leaders. Vote survey agents were kidnapped during the Munugode by-poll. It was reported in the media that the phones of even High Court judges were also been tapped. Chief Minister KCR said in the presence of the media that phones were tapped and videos were also shown regarding that,” he said.
