Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao is trying to ensure that the mistakes he committed while dealing with Eatala Rajender are not repeated in Mynampally Hanumanth Rao’s case.
Despite Mynampally’s comments against Harish Rao, the demand for a ticket for his son and the leak of the abusive audio, the BRS has not taken any step against him other than verbally condemning him.
This has taken BRS cadres by surprise and they wonder why KCR is tolerating Maynampally’s tantrums. Political analysts say that acting in haste would create sympathy for Mynampally as it did for Eatala.
Eatala was dismissed from the Cabinet on May 1, 2022, over his allegations about land grabbing in Medak district. This helped him gain sympathy that he was unfairly targeted by the party. With Mynampally Hanumanth Rao, KCR is in pole position.
The issue was about his son not getting ticket which projects Hanumanth Rao differently. During his press meet the CM said that if Mynampally wants to stay he can stay in the party and contest. But KTR and Kavitha condemned Mynampally’s statements.
The Malkajgiri MLA is keen on fielding his son Mynampally Rohit. With speculations of Mynampally joining the Congress circulating, the audio of him abusing Revanth was circulated.
The leaked abusive audio tape projects Mynampally in a bad light.
Meanwhile, on Saturday, Malkajgiri BRS MLA Mynampally Hanumanth Rao said that he will announce his future political moves within a week.
He expressed his grief to his followers and said that they are oppressed in the BRS.
He said that he is not a person who changes politics and added that his son helped people by spending Rs 8 crore during the COVID-19 pandemic.
He said that he decided to contest from Medak and that he was defeated during the Telangana movement. He added that is not a person who gives up after defeats.
He said that Medak gave him his political career and that he will not criticise the party even if anyone bothers him.
He said that one of his leaders had told him to think and act and so he said he would visit Malkajgiri for a week and would talk to the media after that.
He said that some people had suggested not to speak in haste. So he said that he had decided to check public opinion for a week.
Suggesting that those who scold him should examine themselves he said that cases were filed against his party leaders.
Mynampally attacked Harish for not giving the BRS party’s Medak ticket to his son Rohit.
