Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao said that farmers are critical of the opposition’s comments that three hours of electricity supply is enough for farmers.

Speaking on the occasion of Yadadri District Congress President Kumbham Anil Kumar Reddy joining the BRS, KCR said, “Now farmers are criticising the statement that three hours of electricity supply is enough for agriculture. If 24-hour power is given, farmers will use it as per their convenience.”

On policy, he said, “Some people talk without knowing the subject which I don’t care.” KCR said the BRS was born for a task with a goal.

“Why were previous governments not able to give adequate power? No state gives 24-hour electricity except Telangana,” he said.

“Before 2014, when you enter Hyderabad shops they used to smell of petrol and diesel running generators. Willpower is needed to supply 24-hour power supply. Now farmers have money in their pockets. If farmers have money, it will return to the market, it is called the spin of the economy,” KCR said.

Stating that he won’t live long but can only pave the way, the CM said that the future is with youth and that they shouldn’t be fighting but must work together.

Yadadri District Congress President Kumbham Anil Kumar Reddy joined the BRS in the presence of KCR at the Pragathi Bhavan. Many Congress leaders were also present with him.

Speaking on the occasion, KCR said that he is responsible for Anil Kumar Reddy’s political future and that Anil Kumar Reddy and Shekhar Reddy were advised not to accept any post.

“We faced many insults in United AP, but by the grace of God and the luck of the people of Telangana we achieved a great state. Then they said that there was a lot of confusion and they wanted to compromise on the issue of Hyderabad. But what is Telangana without Hyderabad? Finally we achieved the state of Telangana with Hyderabad as its capital,” he said.

He said that in the past, there were inverters and generators everywhere, but now quality 24-hour electricity is being supplied. He said that with a 24-hour electricity supply, three crops are being grown in the state. Earlier, they had to take paddy and wait in markets, but now we are buying grain at the doorsteps of farmers and depositing money in farmers’ accounts.

He said that today there are piles of grain on both sides of the roads and all rice mills are full of grain. He said that the debt of the Kaleswaram Project which was built at a cost of Rs 80,000 crore has been paid off.

He said that some people are engaged in a false campaign on Dharani. “How will Rythu Bandhu funds come if Dharani is scrapped,” the CM said.

He said that no one will have the authority to change land rights through Dharani Portal and if there are problems the government will solve them.

He said that the value of land in the state has increased due to the Dharani Portal and the condition of farmers has improved. He said that Rythu Bandhu and Bima are being implemented for the welfare of farmers and cash will be deposited directly into farmers’ bank accounts through Dharani. If Dharani is scrapped, how can we allot Rythu Bandhu funds, he asked.
