Telangana BJP President G. Kishan Reddy said that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao had said that he would transform Telangana into a ‘seed bowl,’ but he made it the ‘golden bowl’ of BRS leaders.
Addressing the ‘Rythu Gosa-BJP Barosa’ public meeting held at Khammam on Sunday, Kishan said that agriculture has become a wasteful enterprise under BRS rule in Telangana. Farmers are subjected to deception in all aspects. There is no crop insurance and there are no subsidies. There are no ‘Pavala Vaddi’ agriculture loans, he said.
He said that Rythu Bandhu is not a solution to the problems of farmers. Not even a single problem of farmers was solved by BRS. KCR failed to provide free fertilizers even after the completion of five years of rule.
Forgetting the loan waiver scheme for four and a half years, KCR enacted dramas before the elections giving the impression that the BRS government is waiving loans. However, the fact is that the interest on the loans of farmers exceeded the value of the original loans resulting in suicides.
Kishan said that irrigation projects have become ‘commission projects’ for BRS leaders and they are of no use to farmers. KCR has been increasing the problems of farmers through the Dharani Portal instead of solving problems.
He said that the BJP will stand by farmers and solve their problems after coming to power in Telangana. He appealed to farmers to give power to the BJP as an alternative to the Congress and the BRS.
BJP Election Management Committee Chairman Eatala Rajender said that KCR failed to fulfil the assurances given to farmers. KCR is only giving Rythu Bandhu by scrapping all other schemes.
He said the BJP will procure food grains without wastage and will provide subsidies to farmers.
BJP General Secretary Sanjay said that Khammam exposed the fake deeksha of KCR. Terming KCR as Dubai Shekhar, Sanjay said that KCR is the man who deceived the poor by assuring them that he would take them to Dubai.
KCR changed his son’s name from K. Ajay Rao to K. Taraka Rama Rao to get a TDP ticket from NTR. He said that KCR will remember the poor only when elections come.
