YSRTP President YS Sharmila has been waiting like a ‘Jacobin Cuckoo’ to forge an alliance or merge her party with the Congress, but the Congress is testing her patience by not giving her the green signal.

However, Sharmila has been echoing Congress’ demands and criticism against KCR expecting that the Congress may take a decision in her favour soon.

On Sunday too, Sharmila echoed the demands of the Congress. She demanded that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao should field sitting MLAs in the coming elections if he had the guts, a demand that was made by TPCC President A. Revanth Reddy 10 days ago.

She demanded that KCR should accept her demand if KCR and his MLAs are sincere and prove that the election is a referendum on his rule.

In fact, Revanth made this demand on Sunday too at the Gandhi Bhavan. He also has been demanding that the Chief Minister should contest from Gajwel in the coming elections if he had the guts.

Sharmila said that KCR grabbed power using the Telangana sentiment at first and won a second time citing Telangana’s self-respect.

She said that BRS MLAs have been looting people like dacoits, had grabbed land and engaged in corruption.

“BRS leaders are threatening people who challenge the BRS government. KCR is afraid of elections this time as people are angry with the BRS. But he has been putting on a brave face saying that he will give tickets to sitting MLAs and doing hungama in the name of poll surveys. KCR knows that he will not win if he retains sitting MLAs,” she added.
