KCR neglected traditions of Assembly: Sridhar Babu

Must read

Alleging that the former chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao neglected the traditions of the Assembly, Legislative Affairs Minister D Sridhar Babu said that the government has to introduce appropriation bill on July 31 or else a situation will arise when the government will not be in a position to give salaries and hence the government proposed to end the House on July 31.
Sridhar Babu said that the government appealed to the Speaker to give a chance for the discussion on development and welfare programmes. The government has a plan to conduct the Assembly session for more days, he said. However, the session has to complete the discussion on the budget in three days.
The Legislative Affairs Minister said that former minister T Harish Rao knows about the Assembly proceedings. BRS leaders are trying to bluff the House, he alleged, saying that the previous BRS government did not conduct the House for more than 8 days though they had time.
Making it clear that the government will not ignore a single assurance, Sridhar Babu said that the government is moving forward while putting the financial system on track.
The Minister said that Speaker’s decision is final on running the House. However, the government will not go back on the discussion on public issues.
He said that the Speaker would take a decision on the issues proposed for discussion by the Opposition parties. The Opposition parties will have a chance to speak elaborately during the discussion on demands.
He said that the BRS party has no right to speak on law and order, loan waiver and local bodies. He alleged that the BJP has been shedding crocodile tears, saying that the farmers are facing troubles.
Dridhar Babu said that the government asked the Centre for funds to meet Telangana needs. He alleged that the BRS government failed to achieve funds supposed to come to the State as per law.
Alleging that the Centre has been showing indifferent attitude towards Telangana, Sridhar Babu asked the BJP leaders to mount pressure on the Centre in regard to funds.
