Ex chief minister K Chandrasekar Rao convened a meeting opposing Congress government’s stand on handing over projects to the Centre.
Opposing the State government’s stance in protecting the rights of Telangana over the waters of the Krishna river, BRS strongly condemned the State government’s anti-farmer decisions of handing over projects on the Krishna river, including Nagarjuna Sagar and Srisailam to KRMB to the Centre and feeling that the government’s ill-advised stance has become an axe on the irrigation rights of the southern Telangana.
A high-level meeting was held under the chairmanship of BRS chief KCR at his residence in Nandinagar on Sunday. In this meeting, party MLAs and ex-ministers from the Krishna basin were present. BRS party executive president KT Rama Rao, former ministers Harish Rao, G Jagadish Reddy, Sabita Indra Reddy, Srinivas Goud, Mahmood Ali, Satyavati Rathore and other important leaders participated in the meeting. There is a possibility that BRS senior leaders will hold a press meet in this regard on Monday.
