The Telangana unit of the BharatiyaJanata Party has alleged that, at a time when Prime Minister Narendra Modi organized ‘Har ghartiranga’ programme across the nation, TS Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has launched ‘Har ghar liquor’ programme across the state.
BJP senior leader and former MP Boora Narsaiah Goud alleged on Wednesday that over 60,000 belt shops were running across the Telangana State.
Although the government had provided reservations to Gouds, STs and SCs in awarding liquor tenders, it was collecting Rs.2 lakh as non-refundable fee from those applying for the liquor shops.
Narsaiah Goud alleged that the state government had fixed the application form price in such a manner that middle class people would have no chance to start a liquor shop.
Former chief secretary and present advisor Somesh Kumar had been acting like a ‘Shakuni’ in the company of KCR, he alleged.
He said that liquor prices in Telangana were higher than in any other state. For instance, the price of ‘Royal Stag’ full bottle price in Telangana was Rs.880; however, its price was Rs.560 in Uttar Pradesh, he pointed out.
Narsaiah Goud demanded the government to fix the liquor tender fee at Rs.25,000 for SCs.
Narsaiah Goud alleged that KCR’s benamistook elite shops. He suggested that KCR should make TS ‘Udtha Telangana’ and demanded the government to remove belt shops set up across the Telangana State.
