‘KCR ready for KTR’s arrest’Treats it as part of the game

Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) supremo K. Chandrasekhar Rao is reportedly well prepared for the potential arrest of his son BRS leader KT Rama Rao, knowledgeable sources said.
Unlike the arrest of his daughter Kavitha, which caused political ripples, KCR appears to have anticipated this move and is treating it as part of a broader political strategy.
Insiders said that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is keen to push for KTR’s arrest to underline his administration’s commitment to probe KCR’s family. However, with the Formula-E probe awaiting the Governor’s nod, things have slowed down. While Lagacherla was another incident in which KTR’s name was included, it didn’t go further. Meanwhile, KTR also wants to be arrested and keeps talking about it.
Despite this, KCR is reportedly unfazed. “Political arrests are a known tactic, and KCR views this as an expected move in the political battle,” a source close to him said.
Sources added that facilities at the Charlapalli and Chanchalguda jails in Telangana are far better compared to Tihar where Kavitha was kept, which adds to KCR’s readiness.
The sources also emphasised that KCR will minimise the potential fallout in his party from KTR’s eventual arrest. “This won’t affect him or the BRS’s strategies much,” sources added, reflecting the former CM’s seasoned political manoeuvring.
Observers see this as a calculated political game, with Revanth aiming to weaken the BRS’s foothold while KCR maintains focus on ensuring stability and long-term strategies.
