Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy has insisted that former Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao should enter Nalgonda only after tendering his apology to people.
Addressing a media conference at his camp office here on Sunday, Venkat Reddy said that KCR did nothing to develop Nalgonda district. Moreover, the BRS had given a short shrift to the district.
Venkat Reddy said that KCR failed to keep up his word to the people that he would ensure completion of Srisailam Left Bank Canal (SLBC). KCR should rub his “nose to the ground” (tender apology) before stepping into the district.
KCR should address the gathering only after tendering an apology to the people of the district, he demanded.
The Congress, in a novel way of registering its protest, would place a chair with a pin towel on it, at the venue of the public meeting. It would remind KCR of his promise that he would sit in a chair and ensure completion of SLBC.
Speaking on the Vote-on-Account budget, the Minister described it as a comprehensive exercise to ensure that all sectors get allotment. Besides giving priority to the welfare and development, the Congress government is committed to development of all all sectors, he said.
The present budget was only vote-on-account budget. The full budget would be presented in the State only after the Centre presents the full budget, he explained.
The budget has made allocation to repay the loans borrowed by the previous BRS regime, he said, adding that no leader has no right to criticise the current budget. He called criticism voiced by former Ministers T Harish Rao and KTR as hollow.
Venkat Reddy suggested that one and all take part on the debate on Kaleswaram and Medigedda projects. It was KCR and Harish Rao who affixed their signatures endorsing entrusting the Krishna River projects to the Centre. They signed relevant KRMB files. He called KCR as the one who came to power duping the people of the state. He criticized KCR for claiming to have brought statehood to Telangana by undertaking fake fasts.
