The 15,600-house complex built in Kollur by the state government with modern facilities will be inaugurated on June 22 by KCR, State Roads and Buildings Minister Vemula Prashant Reddy said.

The Minister inspected arrangements for the inauguration function of CM’s double-bedroom houses in Kollur on Tuesday along with officials. The officials were ordered to make preparations for the inauguration. The Chief Minister discussed the route map and made several suggestions.

Prashant said that the Kollur double-bedroom house complex will be the largest residential complex in Asia and will be an Asian model. He said that the houses were completed with all facilities due to the initiative of Municipal Minister KTR.

He said the double-bedroom houses are being built to provide self-respect of the poor. He said that the CM will inaugurate the Kollur housing complex on June 22 at 10 am.

These are the houses that the KCR government is providing free with 100 per cent subsidy for the poor, he said.

He said that it was the CM’s idea to build the complex slowly and that six beneficiaries will be given houses during the home entry programme.

As the complex has around 50,000 to 60,000 people, the minister said that there will be 103 shopping complexes, a community hall, a police station, lifts, fresh water, drainage, roads and all basic facilities.

He said that this area of Kollur is likely to become a municipality in future.

The Minister congratulated KTR, the construction company, the GHMC staff and officials of the Housing Department for their initiative.
