Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said that KCR will be in his farmhouse for 10 more years, and after that his history will be buried there itself.

The CM was addressing a gathering at the birth anniversary celebrations of Mahatma Basaveshwara in Hyderabad on Wednesday.

The CM was responding to BRS chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s recent remarks, calling for a debate on Telangana’s key developmental and social welfare issues.

He said that the Congress, the TDP and the BRS were in power for 10 years, and now again the Congress will be in power for 10 years.

“Is the Congress Villain Number 1 for giving Telangana state? KCR doesn’t have the guts to mention my name. This shows the strength of Congress activists,” the CM said.

Releasing SSC results on the occasion, Revanth said it was symbolic to do so on the birth anniversary of a visionary like Basaveshwara.

“Basavanna was a revolutionary who laid the foundation for social reforms in the 12th century. It is a proud moment to release Class 10 exam results on this day. Our people’s government is functioning in the spirit of Basavanna,” he said.

In a direct dig at KCR, Revanth said, “The so-called Leader of the Opposition is sitting idle in his farmhouse drawing salaries, allowances, and availing

police protection without doing any work. He has taken Rs 65 lakh as the opposition leader and still hasn’t stepped out of his home. People are asking which law allows this?”

Taking exception to the criticism of the Congress Government at the BRS Warangal Sabha, Revanth said, “We provided TGSRTC buses for their silver jubilee celebrations and victory rallies. Had they used that opportunity to raise public issues or acknowledge the ‘good work’ done by the Congress, it would have made sense.”

“Instead, KCR sleeps in his farmhouse for months and wakes up only to tell lies. What message does he want to send by hiding for 15 months and suddenly showing up to spit venom at the Congress?” he asked.

Responding to allegations that the Congress stopped social welfare schemes, Revanth shot back, “Is Rythu Bandhu stopped? Is Aarogyasri gone? What about Shaadi Mubarak, Kalyana Lakshmi, or free electricity? Not only have we continued them, but we have also introduced free travel in TGSRTC buses for women and given jobs to many. Are you blind to these?”

He challenged the opposition to prove what had been halted and added, “Let’s not incite people with hateful, poison-filled speeches. People are wise. They know what is being done.”

Revanth called for a public debate on all major schemes and policies. “Let us sit across the table and debate Kaleshwaram, the free bus travel scheme, farm loan waiver, the filling of 60,000 posts, SC classification, and caste census. KCR can select the topic. I am ready.”
