Keerthy Suresh joins Yellamma opposite Nithiin

Director Venu Yeldandi, who made an impressive debut with the critically acclaimed and commercially successful Balagam, is gearing up for his next project, Yellamma. The film stars Nithiin in the lead role and is backed by producer Dil Raju.
Initially, the makers considered Sai Pallavi for the female lead, as the character has significant scope for performance. According to reports, Sai Pallavi was approached for Yellamma and loved the script but had to decline due to scheduling conflicts with her other commitments.
Following Sai Pallavi’s unavailability, the makers approached Keerthy Suresh, who agreed to take on the role. The film is set to commence shooting in May.
Meanwhile, Nithiin is currently busy promoting his upcoming release, Robinhood, which is scheduled for March 28. The film faces stiff competition from Mad Square and Empuraan at the box office. Once Robinhood is released, Nithiin will shift his focus to Yellamma, sources confirm.
