Union Tourism Minister Telangana BJP President G. Kishan Reddy criticised the BRS government saying that mere words cannot develop Hyderabad. He asked Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao to concentrate on Hyderabad for at least three months.
Speaking to the media after visiting the flood-affected areas in Yousufguda and Amberpet on Friday, Kishan said that the government is getting 80 per cent of its revenue from Hyderabad, but is not even allocating 8 per cent of its funds for the development of Hyderabad.
He said that contractors are staging dharna in front of the GHMC office as it is not paying their bills.
The government is not providing even basic infrastructure in Hyderabad even though it is taking thousands of crores as loans. The BRS government has failed to fulfil the assurances given during GHMC elections, he added.
