Komatireddy dismisses BRS criticism of govt as absurd

Minister for Roads and Buildings Komatireddy Venkata Reddy, along with Minister Jupalli Krishna Rao, was warmly welcomed by local MLA Veerlapalli Shankar in Shadnagar. The Ministers were in town for launching various developmental and welfare programs. Venkata Reddy announced that Chatan Pally railway over bridge (ROB) would be constructed at a cost of Rs 190 crore. The work on the ROB is set to begin in 15 days.
Speaking in Shadnagar, he emphasised the government’s commitment to complete the infrastructure project. Initially planned at a cost of Rs. 90 crore, the project received an increased budget of Rs. 190 crore thanks to the efforts of MLA Veerlapalli Shankar. The new ROB will be modelled after the Vaidya Junction.
In addition to the ROB, the Minister discussed plans for a green field highway from Hyderabad to Kurnool. It is estimated to cost  Rs 5,000 crore. He mentioned that discussions with Union Minister Nitin Gadkari had been held to facilitate this project, which is expected to greatly improve the transport infrastructure in the region.
He also highlighted the cooperation of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy in initiating large-scale welfare and developmental programmes across various constituencies. He dismissed the criticism by the BRS against the government as absurd. The government is committed to welfare of people, he asserted.  
MLA Veerlapalli Shankar expressed his gratitude to Minister Venkata Reddy for paying attention to the development of Shadnagar constituency. Foundation stone for R & B guest house would be laid soon, he said.
