Komatireddy vows to ensure road connectivity to every village

Minister for Roads and Buildings Komatireddy Venkata Reddy on Thursday made it clear that his primary goal is to provide a road connectivity for every village and municipal ward. Apart from it, he vowed to ensure houses for the homeless and all the local tanks are filled with Krishna water. He said he would fulfil his promise and vowed to work for the welfare of people.
On Thursday, the Minister laid the foundation for various developmental works across the Nalgonda district.
He laid foundation stone for the bitumen road from Chandragiri Villa to Thallabavigudem at an estimated cost of Rs 1 crore. In addition, he inaugurated the newly constructed Mutton Market at Prakasam Bazaar, which was built at a cost of Rs 75 lakh.
The Minister also laid the foundation for the construction of a cement concrete road from Mushampally Road to AR Nagar, costing Rs 35 lakh. During the event, he highlighted that road and drainage works worth Rs 500 crore are currently underway in Nalgonda town. He further announced that tenders have been called for constructing a cement concrete road from Thallabhayigudem to Pittempally at a cost of Rs 6 crore, and the work will commence within a month.
He directed municipal officials and engineers, including contractors, to ensure that works on the project begin. He asked the officials to see that allt he works are completed on schedule.
The Minister revealed that measures were taken to ensure every household in Nalgonda town receives Mission Bhagiratha drinking water, with the construction of 15 water tanks with a combined capacity of 11 lakh liters, at a total cost of Rs 400 crore. He added that once the Brahmana Vellamula and SLBC projects are completed, the district’s tanks can be filled with Krishna water. He also mentioned that funds have been released to facilitate filling through the Brahmana Vellamula project.
Minister Komatireddy also announced that the Bottuguda High School is being constructed at a cost of Rs 3 crore through Prateek Foundation, with plans to inaugurate it by December. A 50-acre plot has been identified for the construction of Indiramma houses for the poor, with each house costing Rs 5 lakh.
Later, the Minister made a surprise inspection of the ongoing construction work at the Urban Primary Health Centre in Manyam Chelaka. He instructed the contractor to ensure that the construction adheres to government norms. He also visited the Jailkhana junction, promising funds for its development and suggesting that a portion of the jail compound wall be removed to enhance the junction’s appearance and prevent accidents.
The event was attended by Additional Collector J Srinivas, Municipal Chairman Burri Srinivas Reddy, R&B SE Satyanarayana, Municipal Vice Chairman Abba Goni Ramesh Goud, Municipal Commissioner Musab Ahmed, ward councilors, and other dignitaries.
