Krishna District Rugby Association (KDRA) president Koraganji Jagannadha Rao (Jagan) was unanimously elected as Andhra Pradesh Rugby Association chairman and the district secretary Nagalla Chandra Kala was elected as vice-president without opposition.
The association’s State committee elections were held in the Kurnool district recently. All posts were filled without any opposition.
In the recent past, the Krishna District Rugby Association has been conducting several tournaments and the players were performing well. For this reason, the State Association executive committee decided to appoint two persons into two key posts.
Speaking on the occasion, APRA chairman Koraganji Jagan said that his new committee would strive for the development of the rugby game in the State. Rugby materials were supplied to many schools to promote the game in the Krishna district, he said. As a result, the Krishna district players won several state championships, he added.
Further, he thanked State president TG Bharath and general secretary Ramanjaneyulu for giving his district two key posts in the state committee.
